You do not order a 10-litre pack of SPA Reine from Spadel, but from a shop, a wholesaler or your office supplier. The channel you pick matters more than you might think: on 29 October 2026 we read 0.87 euros per litre at the supermarket and 1.20 to 1.35 euros excluding VAT at Bruneau. For an office of eight people, that adds up to more than 500 euros a year.
Spadel does not sell the packs itself
Rent a SPA Fountain and you get a machine. The water comes separately.
The product page says it in one sentence: the packs are available from the shop of your choice, from a distributor in Belgium. There is no link to a shop. The FAQ on spafountain.be adds that if you already have an office supplier, you should order there, and otherwise fill in the contact form. The only thing Spadel provides itself: 2 free packs with your first order.
The page about the 10-litre pack carries the same message, slightly wider. The pack is sold by many Belgian retailers, from supermarket chains to drinks suppliers and office suppliers. Names: none. A price: none either.
That is a choice, and it has consequences. The rental of 18.50 euros a month for the countertop model (excluding VAT) is a fixed amount you can read on the website. The packs, which in our earlier calculations make up most of the monthly bill, have no price published by Spadel. So you look for that price yourself, and it differs per channel.
The volume is there. In a press release of 23 April 2024, Spadel wrote that the 5 and 10-litre packs together sold more than 11 million litres in 2023. This is not a niche product you have to hunt down at a single wholesaler.
What does a 10-litre pack cost in the shops?
About 8.50 euros. That is 0.85 to 0.87 euros per litre.
On 29 October 2026 we opened the product page at Carrefour: SPA Reine still natural mineral water, 10 litres, 8.65 euros, or 0.87 euros per litre. The page offers home delivery or collection in store. The same page shows the 5-litre pack at 4.39 euros, 0.88 euros per litre.
Colruyt stocks the pack, as SPA Reine still water BIB, 10 litres. We saw no price: Colruyt shows prices per store, and without a chosen store that field stayed empty.
For Delhaize and Jumbo we could not read the shop websites ourselves (the Delhaize search page returned an error). The comparison site Supercompare lists the same 10-litre pack at 8.55 euros at Delhaize and 8.09 euros at Jumbo, the latter on promotion until 3 November (normally 8.99 euros). Supercompare puts no date on its prices. Read those two figures as a direction, not as a price check.
What ends up in the glass is the same everywhere: SPA Reine from the High Fens, a still natural mineral water. The difference lies only in the price and in who carries the boxes.
Bruneau: dearer per pack, with delivery
The office wholesaler Bruneau sells the 10-litre pack under reference 793-286. On 29 October 2026 we read 13.49 euros each and 11.95 euros each from 3, both excluding VAT. Per litre, that is 1.35 or 1.20 euros.
Two things weigh against that. Bruneau delivers free within 24 hours from 79 euros excluding VAT, and you get an invoice in your company's name. If you would rather not fetch 13 packs of 10 kilos in your own car, you pay for that comfort in the price per pack.
In the small print: the reference has been listed as "Depleted product", sold out, since our first check on 11 October. This is the seventh time we have opened this page and the seventh time we have read the same price and the same notice. Whether Bruneau still delivers the pack, and at what price, you will only know when you order or call.
Even with that caveat, the gap stands out. The shelf price of 8.65 euros already includes VAT. Bruneau's price, 11.95 euros, is without VAT. Take the VAT off the supermarket price and the gap only widens. Whether you can reclaim VAT on a till receipt depends on the invoice you get: ask your accountant.
Office suppliers: price on request
Spadel recommends ordering from your regular office supplier. That is practical, since the packs then arrive with the paper and the coffee. But you only see the price as a customer.
At Lyreco Belgium, the search function returned no 10-litre pack on 29 October 2026. It did show bottles of another brand, and the same button on every product to display the price, only after logging in. Whether Lyreco offers the pack through a customer catalogue, we could not check.
That is no criticism of Lyreco: office suppliers work with contract prices. For you, though, it means the price per litre stays unknown until you ask for a quotation. Ask for it per pack, with and without VAT, and with the delivery cost included.
Does a 5-litre pack fit too?
No. According to spafountain.be, the SPA Fountain only works with the 10-litre pack, not with the 5-litre pack and not with other SPA products.
That is a pity, because the 5-litre pack is on more shelves. At Albert Heijn it costs 4.39 euros, or 0.88 euros per litre, the same as at Carrefour. So per litre it is not cheaper than the 10-litre pack. For an office without a cooler, with a pack on the kitchenette counter, it is an option.
Bottles are cheaper per litre. SPA Reine 8 x 1.5 litres costs 6.65 euros at Carrefour, or 0.55 euros per litre. Online, that pack was listed as unavailable. And you get no chilled tap, but eight bottles per pack to throw away.
Three figures for the same plastic
Three plastic figures circulate for the 10-litre pack, with four wordings of the comparison base.
| Source | Figure | Compared with |
|---|---|---|
| spafountain.be, 10-litre pack page | up to 75% less plastic | classic SPA multipacks of 6 x 1 litre or 6 x 1.5 litres |
| spafountain.be, FAQ on the same page | up to 70% less plastic | traditional PET bottles |
| product sheet at PS in foodservice | 65% less plastic on average | SPA Reine 6 x 1 litre and 6 x 1.5 litres |
| Bruneau, product page | 65% less plastic | "than before", with no further base |
For CO2, spafountain.be gives 40% lower emissions, compared with the average of the SPA Reine PET range. The product sheet at PS in foodservice also states that the box contains at least 87% recycled material.
We put the figures side by side because they do not say the same thing. 65 and 75% refer to the same base, multipacks of 1 and 1.5 litres. Which figure is right, or whether one is a maximum and the other an average, is explained nowhere. If you copy an environmental figure into an internal report, take the lowest, with its base and its source. How to sort the box and the bag is covered in recycling a 10-litre water pack.
How many packs do you order at a time?
Enough to reach free delivery, not so many that the cupboard fills with cardboard.
First, consumption. We count 0.75 litres per person per working day at the water point and 21 working days a month, an assumption we also use in earlier articles. For 8 people that gives 126 litres a month, or 13 packs of 10 litres. A pack weighs 10 kilos, according to spafountain.be. That is 130 kilos of water a month.
At Bruneau, the threshold for free delivery is 79 euros excluding VAT. At 11.95 euros per pack you reach it with 7 packs (83.65 euros). With 6 packs (71.70 euros) you fall short. For 8 people, that means two deliveries a month of 7 packs, or 14 packs: one in reserve.
At the supermarket the question is different. There, someone from the office carries 130 kilos a month to the car, unless you use home delivery. What Carrefour charges for delivery to an office address, and whether a weight limit applies, is not on the product page: check before you plan the first month.
Shelf life hardly matters. An opened pack keeps for up to 4 weeks according to spafountain.be, if it is stored correctly. At 6 litres per working day it is empty in under two working days. We found no period for unopened packs, so store them dry, cool and out of the sun, oldest at the front. Where that stock can go is covered in installing an office water cooler.
Five questions for your first order:
- How many packs a month, given your headcount and working days?
- Is the price with or without VAT, and do you get an invoice in the company's name?
- From what amount is delivery free, and what does it cost below that?
- Is the pack in stock? At Bruneau it was listed as sold out on 29 October.
- Who receives the delivery, and where do the packs go afterwards?

Back to the litre: what the channel changes
Below is the monthly cost of the packs alone, for three team sizes, with the same assumption of 0.75 litres per person per working day. Packs are rounded up.
| Team | Litres a month | Packs | Weight | Carrefour, 8.65 euros | Bruneau, 11.95 euros excl. VAT |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 people | 79 | 8 | 80 kg | 69.20 euros | 95.60 euros |
| 8 people | 126 | 13 | 130 kg | 112.45 euros | 155.35 euros |
| 15 people | 236 | 24 | 240 kg | 207.60 euros | 286.80 euros |
For 8 people, the difference is 42.90 euros a month, or 514.80 euros a year. That is more than two years' rental of a SPA Fountain compact (2 x 12 x 18.50 euros is 444 euros).
Add the rental, and the price per litre of the whole system shifts. A SPA Fountain compact at 18.50 euros plus 13 supermarket packs is 130.95 euros a month, or 1.04 euros per litre. With packs from Bruneau it is 173.85 euros, or 1.38 euros per litre. In earlier articles we calculated with Bruneau, because it was the only business price we had found. With a shelf price the litre drops by a quarter, although it stays dearer than with a mains-fed machine (see what renting a water cooler costs).
One caveat on that comparison: we add a rental price without VAT to a shelf price with VAT. For a company that recovers VAT, the supermarket is in fact slightly cheaper than the table shows, provided there is an invoice.
Which machine suits a small team is covered in the ranking for small offices. Tap water with cups remains the cheapest litre in the meantime.
